So Your Interested In Accessing NMoW through your NDIS Plan?
Our food delivery service operates three days per week—Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There are two menus available – Fresh and Frozen. We offer a variety of meal choices, with full day meal options available, which are reviewed seasonally. We have nine meal delivery branches, located at Boolaroo, Hamilton, Lambton, Mayfield, Merewether, Morisset, Stockton, Toronto and Wallsend. Some of these services have been in operation for over 50 years.
Meals on Wheels is also available to people with a disability through their NDIS packages. In order for you to commence receiving meals through your NDIS plan- one of our engagement coordinators will need to visit you to arrange a quote for your NDIS plan, for a service booking to be approved by your provider- this will be reviewed every 12 months. Once your quote has been approved by NDIS, your meal delivery will commence and you will pay a subsidised rate, with the remaining cost being covered through your NDIS plan. Please note in order for you to increase the number of meals you receive each week a new quote will need to be organised and approved.
Accessing our service through your NDIS package “core supports- daily activities budget” will subsidies your out of pocket charges. As a client you will be charged for food costs= $2 for mini & $3 for main meals, and the remainder is covered by NDIS- this will be outlined in your quote. Your Plan can cover Light lunches, Mini Meals (Fresh & Frozen) & Main Meals (Fresh & Frozen), all other items (Breakfast, Soup, Snacks & Desserts) will be costed at menu price and will be paid by yourself. If you wish to order other items, you will be required to order at least one lunch, mini or main meal on those days of delivery.
